Trump can barely contain his delight at how one bad debate is self-destructing Biden’s campaign

  • Former President Donald Trump doesn’t think Biden will be his rival for much longer.

  • According to a video obtained by The Daily Beast, he compared Biden to an “old, rotten pile of shit.”

  • He was also negative about Vice President Kamala Harris’ chances: “She’s so bad.”

Former President Donald Trump apparently thinks President Joe Biden’s campaign is over, and he can barely contain his enthusiasm.

“How did I do the other night in the debate? I knocked that old, broken pile of shit out of the park. He’s out of the race,” Trump said of Biden’s disastrous performance during last week’s presidential debate.

The former president delivered a scathing assessment of his rival’s electoral prospects during a round of golf, The Daily Beast reported Wednesday, citing a leaked video it obtained.

The video was posted to Trump’s Truth Social account later that same day. BI could not independently verify when or where the video was taken.

“I took him out of the race, and that means we have Kamala,” Trump said in the video, referring to the possibility that Vice President Kamala Harris will replace Biden on the November ballot.

“I think she’ll be better. She’s so bad. She’s so pathetic. She’s just so fucking bad,” he continued.

When asked for comment, a Trump campaign spokesperson referred The Daily Beast to an earlier statement they had issued.

“Let there be no mistake: Democrats, the mainstream media, and politicians conspired to hide the truth from the American public,” Trump campaign advisers Chris LaCivita and Susie Wiles said in a statement Wednesday.

“Every single one of them lied about Joe Biden’s cognitive state and supported his disastrous policies over the past four years, especially the smiling co-pilot Kamala Harris,” the statement said.

There is increasing talk of Harris running for president after Biden debated Trump last week and did not do well.

The former California senator is seen as Biden’s best replacement because she would retain access to Biden’s $240 million campaign fund even if he withdraws.

Some Democrats, such as South Carolina Congressman James Clyburn, said they would support Harris if she pledged her support.

“We need to do everything we can to strengthen her, whether she’s second or top of the ticket,” Clyburn told MSNBC on Tuesday.

It is true that both Biden and Harris have ignored calls to withdraw from the race.

The duo told campaign staff and DNC officials during a Zoom call that they were pushing forward, Politico reported Wednesday, citing people who attended the meeting.

“Nobody is pushing me out. I’m not leaving. I’m in this race to the end and we’re going to win,” Biden told his advisers.

“We will not back down. We will follow the example of our president. We will fight and we will win,” Harris said in the same conversation.

Representatives for Trump and Biden did not immediately respond to BI’s requests for comment outside regular business hours.
