Olivia Culpo and Christian McCaffrey respond to TikTok critic after wedding dress comments

Olivia Culpo and Christian McCaffrey have taken a firm stance against the negativity directed at her wedding dress after a TikTok influencer criticized her “no personality” Dolce & Gabbana gown. The recently married couple didn’t hold back in defending Culpo’s sartorial choice.

San Francisco 49ers star Christian McCaffrey was quick to respond to influencer Kennedy Bingham, aka @gowneyedgirl, who posted a video criticizing Culpo’s wedding dress. In the video, Bingham described the dress as “lacking personality” and called it “nothing.” McCaffrey called Bingham’s comments “vicious” in his response, expressing his disappointment and defending his wife’s choice.

“What a horrible thing to post online. I hope you can find joy and peace in the world like my beautiful wife does,” McCaffrey wrote under Bingham’s Instagram Reel.

Olivia Culpo echoed her husband’s sentiments, calling Bingham a “bizarre human being” and slamming the influencer’s video as “extremely hurtful.” Culpo voiced her dismay in the comments and defended her decision to wear the traditional wedding dress.

At her June 29 wedding to McCaffrey, Culpo wore a Dolce & Gabbana gown with a crepe scoop neck, long sleeves and a button-lined back, which she described as modest. She paired the gown with a 16-foot lace veil, creating a timeless look for her special day.

Bingham’s video, posted to both Instagram and TikTok, slammed Culpo’s “modest” description of her dress, suggesting she lacked personality. Bingham captioned her post, “From Miss Universe to Miss Pick Me, Olivia Culpo deserves her crown.” This prompted a series of responses from both Culpo and McCaffrey.

Culpo defended her choice of dress, saying, “Wow, you are an absolutely evil person. I hope no one ever tears you apart like this because it is extremely hurtful. I love this dress and it was everything I ever wanted and more.” Despite acknowledging that Culpo looked stunning, Bingham continued to criticize the dress, focusing on the “lack of personality.”

The exchange intensified when Culpo responded to Bingham’s accusations of lying about beauty enhancements. Culpo clarified, “Also, no, I do not have eyebrow lamination or eyelash extensions. I’m sorry this makes you angry.”

Bingham responded by criticizing Culpo’s choice to work with Dolce & Gabbana, a brand with a controversial history. She argued that working with the designer implies a certain mindset. Culpo responded by asking if wearing Dolce & Gabbana made her racist or homophobic.

The back-and-forth continued, with Bingham insisting that Culpo’s words perpetuated harmful norms. Bingham found it odd that Culpo emphasized modesty and covering up, especially given her usual fashion choices.

Bingham’s video also suggested that Culpo’s wedding was more of a conservative campaign than a celebration. Despite the criticism, many fans and social media users came to Culpo’s defense, praising her dress and McCaffrey’s protective stance.

Culpo and McCaffrey exchanged vows at a chapel in Watch Hill, Rhode Island, before celebrating with family and friends at the Ocean House. For the reception, Culpo switched into a floaty sweetheart gown and later wore a bodysuit with a sheer cage mini skirt, showing off her versatile style.

This incident underscores the couple’s unity and willingness to stand up to online negativity, strengthening their bond and love for each other.
