Medicine on the Move Mobile Medical Center reaches milestone

LAS VEGAS – Many Nevadans face significant challenges accessing health care, including transportation, child care or other issues that prevent them from going to a health care center. Introduced by Optum – Nevada in 2016, Medicine on the Move is a 43-foot, state-of-the-art, mobile medical center that has traveled throughout Nevada, offering patients a wide range of services: pediatric or primary care visits, immunizations, x-rays, mammography, physics and basic laboratory tests.

Medicine on the Move recently reached a major milestone: 100,000 miles on the odometer while returning from a health care visit to Reno. The custom-built clinic is handicap accessible and staffed by physicians, registered nurses, medical assistants, a radiology technician and a driver.
