Man arrested for domestic violence in Highgate

HIGHGATE – Vermont State Police arrested a local man May 24 on charges of domestic violence, unlawful restraint and resisting arrest following a family dispute.

Authorities took Justin Clodgoe, 42, into custody after responding to the incident on Luke St. around 3:54 p.m. Police say Clodgoe caused a family member to fear for their safety.

After treatment at the St. Albans Barracks, Clodgoe was booked into the Northwest State Correctional Facility on a $2,500 bond.

He will appear in Franklin County Superior Court on Tuesday, May 28 at 1 p.m. to hear the charges.

The victim’s identity has not been released by police.
