Xander Schauffele wins PGA Championship

LOUISVILLE – Xander Schauffele’s labyrinthine pursuit of a major title found its ultimate grin last Sunday at Valhalla Golf Club, where the 30-year-old San Diegan rode atop a PGA Championship leaderboard that was so crowded early on that it almost literally felt like a horse race in Kentucky, only to be faced with a closing six-foot birdie putt that would surely last the rest of his career.
