* WHAT…Flooding is expected due to heavy rainfall.

* WHERE…Portions of central, east-central and south-central
Nebraska, including the following counties, in central Nebraska,
Howard, Merrick, and Nance. In eastern central Nebraska, Polk and
York. In south-central Nebraska, Adams, Buffalo, Clay, Hall,
Hamilton and Kearney.

* WHEN…Until 200 AM CDT.

* EFFECTS…Minor flooding in low-lying areas with poor drainage.
Minor flooding has been reported in streets on Grand Island.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 8:53 p.m. CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rainfall due to
thunderstorms. Minor flooding is occurring or expected
soon in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain
have fallen.
– Additional rainfall of up to 2.5 cm is expected in the coming days.

Turn around, don’t drown when you encounter flooded roads. Most floods
deaths occur in vehicles.
