MEQUON, Wis. – As a native of Wisconsin and a lifelong fan of the Milwaukee Brewers, on September 28, 2000, I got to enjoy one of the most impactful moments in the team’s history. On that day, the Brewers and the more than 55,000 fans in attendance made a bid. fond farewell to Milwaukee County Stadium, home of not only the Brewers, but also the Braves, prior to their departure for Atlanta after the 1965 season.

The following season, the Brewers would open a new home stadium, Miller Park – now known as American Family Field – and every notable legend in Milwaukee baseball history(…)
