Brown competed in her first heptathlon on Thursday and Friday, finishing 12th overall with a new school record (4,038 points).

Avery Miller, a rising senior at Allegany High in Cumberland, Maryland, finished first overall (5,057 points), winning the 200 while placing second in the shot put, javelin and 800.

Sposato, who set a pair of school records in the 200 and 400 at the Rhode Island State Championships on June 1 by receiving All-State honors, competed in both events at the New Balance meet with times of 22.62 (200 ) and 49.30 (400). ).
