Oregon State Baseball vs. Kentucky in Super Regional: Score, updates

The Oregon State Beavers will fight for their postseason lives tonight in Lexington.

No. No. 15 OSU (45-15, 19-10 Pac-12) is looking to bounce back quickly against No. 2 Kentucky (41-14, 22-8 SEC) after a blowout loss to the Wildcats in Saturday’s super regional opener. If they win, the Beavers will force a decisive third game on Monday.

With a loss, Oregon State’s season is over.

“Until it was a 10-0 game, I thought we were still in it,” Oregon State coach Mitch Canham said. “We always have that feeling. It’s a habit. You look at the lineup, the lineup card hanging in the dugout, and you just visualize the success of each of those guys and how they’re going to go on and do it. It makes When you see their name and you know how hard these kids work, you look at that lineup and you think, ‘Man, we got this.’ When you look at the guys in the bullpen, you’re always confident.

“That’s just a choice I make personally, to see the best in those guys, because they work their butts off.”

Oregon State is 6-3 in elimination games under Canham during his five seasons leading the program.

Jacob Kmatz (7-2, ERA 3.29) would get the starting nod for Oregon State. Follow us throughout the evening for live updates.
