MSHSL State Softball Tournament opened on Wednesday

The MSHSL Fastpitch Softball Tournament will consist of four divisions of competition with 8 teams in each division, beginning on Wednesday, June 5, 2024 at Caswell Park in North Mankato.

Class 4A schools open action at 10 a.m

Top seed Rosemount Irish (21-4) will face Stillwater Area Ponies (19-5).

#2 seed Forest Lake Rangers (18-4) faces Eden Prairie Eagles (16-6).

#3 seed Rogers Royals (19-3) tangled with Edina Hornets (16-9).

#4 New Prague Trojans (19-3) opens against #5 St. Michael-Albertville Knights (18-5)

SMA. Eden Prairie and Edina are all members of the Lake Conference, with the Knights winning the regular season championship.

Class 3A action is scheduled for 12:30 p.m., where Cretin-Derham Hall Raiders (18-6) have been ranked No. 1 all season. They play against Benilde-St. Margaret’s Red Knights (8-14).

#2 seed Winona Winhawks (19-6) collides with Simley Spartans of Inver Grove Heights (16-7)

#3 seed Mankato East Cougars (17-6) takes on North Branch Area Vikings (9-13)

#4 Rocori Spartans (19-2) take on St. Francis Fighting Saints (18-5)

Lesson 2A starts at 3:00 PM

Top seed Randoloh Rockets (24-1) opens with Glencoe-Silver Lake Panthers (20-5)/ This may be the toughest random draw in the field.

#2 seed Lake Crystal-Wellcome Memorial Knights (21-2) played Dassel-Cokato Chargers (19-4)

#3 seed St. Cloud Cathedral Crusaders (23-2) battle Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton (19-3)

#4 Proctor Rails (20-4) plays St. Agnes Bulls (22-2).

Class 1A action is scheduled for 5:30 p.m

Top seed New Ulm Cathedral Greyhounds (22-2) play Kelliher/Northome Mustangs (12-4)

#2 seed Red Lake Falls (20-4) drew Clinton-Graceville-Beardsley Wolverines (15-4)

#3 seed Blooming Prairie Awesome Blossoms (20-5) takes on West Lutheran Warriors (17-4) of Plymouth

#4 Russell-Tyler-Ruthton Rebels (22-4) battle Moose Lake-Willow River (13-9)
