ASBURY PARK, NJ – US Congressman Josh Gottheimer celebrated Jersey Pride2024 and spoke about uniting in support of the LGBTQ+ community and the importance of voting. This was New Jersey’s 32nd annual statewide LGBTQ+ Pride celebration. It is the largest and oldest LGBTQ+ Pride celebration in the Garden State, regularly drawing more than 20,000 participants.

Video of Gottheimer’s comments can be found here.

“It was an honor to join Jersey’s LGBTQ+ community for Jersey Pride 2024. Events like this are an opportunity to both celebrate the incredible progress we have made on LGBTQ+ rights and to re-establish ourselves to take action,” said Congressman Josh Gottheimer (NJ-5), member of the Congressional Equality Caucus. “We must stand strong together and ensure that no one turns back the clock on progress. I will always have the support of our LGBTQ+ community in Washington.”

Gottheimer was joined by Congressman Frank Pallone (NJ-6), New Jersey Attorney General Matthew Platkin, New Jersey Senator Vin Gopal (LD-11), Assemblyman Luanne Peterpaul (LD-11), Asbury Park Deputy Mayor Amy Quinn and councilor of Neptune. Derel Stroud.
